Gyeongbokgung Palace
The Primary Palace of the Joseon Period
Gyeongbokgung Palace was built as the primary palace of the Joseon Period by its founder, King Taejo (1395). It was destroyed during the Japanese invasion of 1592. Regent Daewon-gun restored Gyeongbokgung Palace to its original grandeur.
