Beginning July 1 2003, Asiana Airlines will offer a new service called e-Ticketing for passengers on Korea domestic flights. e-Ticketing refers to a system which handles and controls all ticketing operations electronically by issuing various flight-related documents, including airline tickets, online.
By removing the need to visit counters in person to collect airline tickets, the service enables passengers to check in or get refunds online through the use of an automated system designed to prevent the loss and theft of tickets. As the system allows the issuance of itinerary certificates by fax or email, customers will find it more convenient to buy airline tickets.
With the launch of the new service, Asiana Airlines expects to see an increase in sales, a reduction in costs and further growth in productivity. Asiana plans to devote even more energy to promoting customer service.
